A couple weeks ago I got in a new Dial product to try from the Purex Insiders program. It was a bottle of hand soap from their new Boutique Collection, which includes scents such as Sugar Cane Husk Scrub, Coconut Lime Verbena, Yellow Raspberry, and Water Blossoms. The bottle I received was for their new Sugar Cane Husk Scrub, which hit store shelves in February.
A fun fact about me: I grew up near sugar cane fields. Raised in what we always used to call “the boonies” on the Big Island, there was a huge abandoned cane field right down the road from our house. I used to find it rather terrifying, imagining all the types of critters living in there after so many years of just sitting there, but there were also times where it just looked peaceful, especially when an occasional cow would wander over to the fence by the road.
We’ve been using the soap in our bathroom these last few weeks and while the scent isn’t among my favorites (it’s got a sugary vanilla scent to it), my daughter and I both agree that the little micro-scrubbers are what make it feel unique. That said, it’s probably not actually bits of sugar cane husk, since this soap is simply inspired by the scent of freshly cut sugar cane, but we love the little scrubby feel of it anyway. Sort of like Lava soap, only much finer.

I love the smell of sugar cane candles and would probably love it as soap! I love the idea of the scrub being inside to help make my hands more soft!

I love that it will moisturize and get our hands clean at the same time, especially with 6 people in the house, GERMS!!

I like the kind of soaps that have the micro-scrubbers in them. They seem to make my hands feel softer and cleaner.
