After editing and/or proofreading is completed, I offer a variety of services to help get your book out the door.
Marketing Your Book
While it’s easy to succumb to the “If You Write It, They Will Come” fantasy, the fact is, you have to market your book. Once editing has been completed and you’ve had the book proofread and formatted, it’s time to get that bad boy into the hands of potential readers–not always an easy task.
I’m not in any way trying to say I can propel your book to bestseller status with these post-editing services alone, but with the amount of books being self-published today, every bit of marketing can help, and that’s what I’m aiming to provide: a bit of help.
Complimentary Service Menu
The following complimentary services are provided to my clients after work has been completed. Please note that some of these services are limited to editing projects.
Review of Extra Content
I am willing to review extra book content of up to 1,000 words to help ensure quality down to the last details. Extra content includes, but is not limited to:
- front matter
- book cover (front and back)
- author bio
This service is available for editing projects only.
Please view my Book Mock-up Gallery to see the different options I provide. Editing clients may order up to two mock-ups. Proofreading clients may order up to one mock-up. Clients that utilize both editing and proofreading may order up to three mock-ups.
Book Lovers Club
I maintain an email list of potential book reviewers that I send ARCs or review copies to. View a sample email for The Time Travel Chronicles here.
A list of people that accept the book is kept for my records, along with links to reviews once readers report back to me. I provide clients with links to reviews and the amount of books sent out to reviewers.
Social Media Blast
I will help market the book with a social media blast on the following social media networks:
In addition to the above, your book may be added to my website portfolio.
Pikko’s House Giveaway
Should a client wish to sponsor a giveaway on my blog, I can post about the book and host a giveaway. If a client is giving away any physical book copies, shipping will need to be covered by the client. Giveaways are conducted with Rafflecopter widgets.
Paid Service Menu
The following post-editing services can be provided at an additional fee.
I currently run a NetGalley co-op and have a slot reserved for myself. I can provide editing clients with a discounted rate of $25 for a monthly NetGalley rental. Please note that this amounts to a total cost of $25, as it is limited to one month.
Proofreading clients can opt to rent a month at $35.
Past complimentary mock-ups, clients can order additional mock-ups at $5 per mock-up.
Promotional Material Design
Planning to order promotional materials to go with your book launch? I can design, upload, and order bookmarks or stickers for clients located in the United States. View previous bookmarks I have designed below:
Pricing for these services are as follows:
- Bookmark design, front and back (based off book cover) – $15
- Decal design (based off book cover) – $10
- T-shirt design, front and back (based off book cover) – $15
- Bookmark design + ordering (via Overnight Prints) – $30
Prices above refer to my work fee and do not include the cost of the materials themselves.
Clients must be able to provide me with a PSD file of the book cover and any additional images, for which rights must have been purchased, to be used on the promotional material.
