Happy Hump Day! Or is it? Something has been hitting groups lately, and it’s the startling realization that suddenly one’s Microsoft Word comments look… funny.
This, if you aren’t aware, is the rollout of Microsoft’s Modern Comments, the updated comment interface that some mysterious group of users apparently wanted so badly that Microsoft listened… and implemented.
I haven’t gotten the update myself yet, so I haven’t experienced the horror that seems universal among editors so far. I’m hoping I can ease into it, but some editors are going so far as to shut off updates—it’s that bad.
