SimpleMarkup #43 – Bare Essentials

To everyone in the States: Happy 4th! I’m doing just a quick post today, as I’ve got a lot of work to do before getting ready for guests, as we’re having a barbeque later tonight. Then, the sound of fireworks, because we’re not nearly as dedicated as others here in Honolulu to camp out at Ala Moana Beach Park for a spot. We can, however, still hear all the booming. 🙂

SimpleMarkup #43

Today’s comic addresses the situation that female characters in fantasy seem to often find themselves in—scantily clad outfits. In movies, games, and yes, books. Women are so badass that they can do anything in nothing warmer than a bikini and cloak! It’s an amazing talent I have yet to discover within myself, but since I’m under forty, I suppose there’s still hope for me yet.

Have a great July, everyone!

  1. I’ve always wondered why the guys get the armor all over the place, and women can pretty much get stabbed anywhere except maybe their knees (high, sexy armor boots, of course) and what I call “nipple armor”—the tiny metal discs that can’t possibly protect anything else around that area, but will certainly call attention to them. Great comic this week!
