SimpleMarkup #77 – Alternative Job Titles

Ohhhh no! It’s already the last week of February. I’m not alone in thinking that 2019 is flying by much faster than usual, am I? I mean, I know we all say that, but this year just seems to be traveling at light speed.

This week, I’m poking a bit of fun at something that has come up more and more in the last year, and it’s actually quite fun trying to translate Dragon, a voice-to-text software that authors have taken to using to write their books. I recently started referring to them as “dragons” in my Slack office, something that amuses me to no end.

I have a bit of a love-hate relationship with voice-to-text, as the one on my phone has typed out some really weird things, so my only advice is that if you’re using anything like it, always go back over it again! Don’t send dragons in emails.

And make sure your editor can hunt dragons. 🙂

Have a great rest of your week!

  1. I did not think I was ever going to be able to interpret that dragon. I took a break, came back, and the answer just popped right out at me. It is almost like a secret language.
