The other day, I headed to the market to buy our New Year’s eve food with my list in hand. I got everything for ozoni (Japanese New Year’s soup) except for the mochi because although Foodland usually sells komochi, they didn’t have anything but chi chi dango. Unacceptable! I made plans to go to Nijiya Market to look for mochi later.
‘The Dummy Line’ is a Quick Enjoyable Thriller
Last month, I borrowed ‘The Dummy Line‘ by Bobby Cole from the Kindle Lending Library and sped through it in just two nights. Although the plot is pretty simple, the events that happen and the way the story is written keep you on your toes and provides a very exciting book. The narrative takes some getting used to since it switches to different people constantly, but after a while you understand why the author wrote it that way. It’s just a little jarring at times.
Last Day for Tiny Prints Orders Tomorrow
Still need Christmas cards that don’t suck? I know I do. It took us 5 days to bring the tree in and I still haven’t taken our holiday photo. I normally send photo cards that I get done at Costco, but lately I’ve been really disappointed in their quality.
GIVEAWAY: Blurb Daily Planner
A few weeks back I did a review of the Blurb Daily Planner I made of my various cakes and cupcakes. The planner finally came in last week and I love it! It’s so incredibly fun to have something like this showcasing all of my fun sweets!
Thanksgiving Prep – T Day
It’s Thanksgiving and thanks to all of my prep, despite the fact that I kept falling behind, I seem to be very nicely on schedule today. Boy was I scrambling to play catch up.
On Tuesday I had to catch up with Monday’s tasks, so I baked the cheesecake. I also had to finish my Blurb planner, write my Thanksgiving bento post, bake the potatoes, refrigerate the skin, and make a pumpkin pie. I might cancel the pumpkin pie since lots of times people show up with pumpkin pies and we end up with like 3 or 4.
